Designing Multicon’s Unified Group Website to Modernise Its Digital Identity

Multicon is a legacy Kolkata-based business that began in the 1980s with real estate and eventually expanded into multiple industries: Forex, Education, Fitness, Internet, and Multimedia. As the group grew, one key thing stayed missing: a single, unified digital presence that reflected Multicon as a group of businesses.

Our brief wasn’t just to “build a website.” It was to create a modern corporate identity online, one that captures Multicon’s journey, showcases its verticals clearly, and communicates where the group is headed next.

Our brief wasn’t just to “build a website.” It was to create a modern corporate identity online, one that captures Multicon’s journey, showcases its verticals clearly, and communicates where the group is headed next.

One Group. One Digital Identity.

Our design goals for Multicon were shaped around one core shift: from a legacy company to a modern group of businesses.

  • Create one unified digital home: Bring every vertical under one group identity instead of scattered brand impressions.
  • Tell the group story clearly: Build a narrative that reflects Multicon’s evolution: Legacy → Technology → Future.
  • Structure the group like an ecosystem: Make it easy to understand each business while keeping everything connected under one umbrella.
  • Use content + visuals to build credibility: Establish trust through storytelling, clarity, and strong visual communication and not just claims.
  • Support hiring and growth: Design Careers and culture as part of the group’s future, not as an afterthought.

Our Process

A Fragmented Story No One Could Follow

User Challenges

  • Visitors couldn’t clearly understand what Multicon is as a group in one quick scan.
  • The diversity of industries wasn’t structured as a connected story, it felt fragmented.
  • There was no obvious flow that moved from “Who are they?” → “What do they do?” → “Why trust them?”

Design Challenges:

  • Multicon wanted to feel like a scaled group, not a founder-led business, which required a perception shift.
  • Multiple industries meant multiple tones, but the website needed one cohesive identity.
  • The site had to balance legacy credibility while still feeling fresh and modern.

40 Years. Mapped in One Narrative.

We collaborated closely with Multicon’s stakeholders to understand the group’s journey, their business mix, and what the website needed to communicate in a glance that could lead to the rest of the identity.

  • Brand & Story Mapping: Mapped their 40+ year evolution into a structured narrative arc.
  • Content Strategy: Wrote content to bring out their story, values, goals, and direction in a clean, simple, corporate tone, positioning them as domain leaders.
  • Information Architecture: Designed a group-first structure where visitors discover the full business portfolio before going deeper.
  • Navigation Logic: Planned how each vertical should connect to its individual presence without breaking the group identity.

Built to Scale. Designed to Unify.

The final website was designed from scratch to position Multicon as a modern, multi-industry group with a unified digital identity.

  • Group-First Homepage Storytelling: The homepage establishes who Multicon is as a group before anything else.
  • Businesses as a Structured Gateway: A dedicated flow helps users explore Real Estate, Forex, Education, Fitness, Internet, and Multimedia, with a consistent group frame.
  • Legacy → Technology → Future Narrative: The website content and visual structure reinforce growth, evolution, and forward direction.
  • Custom Visual System: Graphics, content blocks, and imagery were designed to feel modern-corporate and story-led.
  • Careers as a Growth Signal: Careers and culture were structured to attract both senior talent and new hires aligned with Multicon’s next chapter.

The Group Finally Has a Home Online

The Group Finally Has a Home Online

Team Monsoonfish designed Multicon’s group website as a single digital home that finally reflects the scale and diversity of the organisation. We created the full narrative structure, wrote story-led content, and designed a modern corporate visual language that makes Multicon feel unified, credible, and future-facing.

The result is a website that clearly communicates who Multicon is, what industries it operates in, and where it is headed,  all through a cohesive experience powered by strong content, custom visuals, and structured storytelling.

Built as an Ecosystem, Not a Brochure

Built as an Ecosystem, Not a Brochure

  • Instead of treating the website like a brochure, we built it like a group ecosystem where visitors move through a single storyline: the legacy → the businesses today → the people and culture → the future ahead. This makes the experience feel larger than any one vertical. Each business becomes part of a bigger identity, and the group’s ambition becomes visible through both content and design. Multicon’s website now doesn’t just “exist online.” It sets the perception of what Multicon is becoming.

Impact

6 Verticals. One Identity. Built to Scale.

  • Unified Group Presence: Multicon now has a single digital home that represents the full group identity clearly.
  • Modern Brand Perception: The design language helps position Multicon as a current, forward-looking organisation.
  • Clear Business Discovery: Visitors can explore every vertical with clarity, without the experience feeling fragmented.
  • Stronger Hiring Signal: The site supports the group’s growth narrative and presents Careers as part of future expansion.

Users Get It. In One Scroll.

  • Faster Understanding: Users can quickly grasp what Multicon does and how the businesses connect.
  • More Trust with Better Leadership Positioning: Structured storytelling and custom visuals help build confidence without heavy marketing language.
  • Simpler Navigation Across Verticals: Every business is discoverable from one place, with clear paths to explore deeper.

Google Labs is quietly building AI tools that don’t replace workflows, they sit on top of them. Learn how these contextual app layers reduce cognitive load at the exact moment users get stuck, and how to apply this thinking to your own product.

The best products don’t show everything upfront they reveal complexity gradually. From Slack to Aadhaar, this “Onion Peel Design” approach helps users stay focused, confident, and in control. Instead of cutting features, the key is layering them—so users see what they need, exactly when they need it.

AI features can be powerful, but users still pause before trusting them. Not because they hate AI, but because the experience doesn’t make reliability obvious. This blog explores why trust breaks in AI products and the UX patterns that help users verify outputs, stay in control, and adopt AI with confidence.
