Design for AICrafting an Interface to Centralize Functions and Provide a Complete View of Security- Kronos
Developing a design system that provides a holistic view of security to identify threats and carry out multiple actions, by emphasizing on visual data design.

Their team was struggling because the security operations were disorganized, scattered over multiple tools, and difficult to base decisions on. The challenge for Team Monsoonfish was to evaluate a system or an interface to centralize all functions and provide the security ops team a panoramic view of security and potential threats in their organizations.

Objective of Design
Hive Pro had identified value in delivering the landscape of consolidated security to enterprises but needed help in determining the format to deliver this value to a diverse audience who had developed their own ways of security operations and investigation. This needed the following aspects to be involved:
- Designing the interfaces for the SOC tool which provided both a dashboard view and detailed drill-downs of the user’s cyber health.
- Structuring the information presented via the interfaces in a manner that users easily understood and associated with.

Discovery
Security operations landscape is riddled with various tools which users often stitch together to form their own workflows.
The SOC team is responsible for overall cyber security of the organization, for predicting attacks and resolving issues in the organization’s cyberspace.
They were looking for a solution which can help them prevent attacks and plan for issue resolution by monitoring and maintaining standards of safety in the organization. Moreover, an aiding tool to define the vision for cyber security on behalf of the CISO.
Implementation
A solution that allowed the user to carry out multiple actions at once, through clear visibility of alerts and actions to be taken.
Enabling the ability to deep-dive, investigate, audit and report while being efficient and hassle free.

Team Monsoonfish developed a design system based on effective data visualization to communicate value through a seamless interface.
- Introducing Kronos- an efficient and seamless interface that offers the user an overview of all steps in the process; which can also be scaled to large screens used in Operations Centers.

- Kronos- an interface that allows the security operations team at large organizations to monitor and diagnose threats across their site. We extensively worked with Hive Pro to design scalable interfaces that worked across the board.
- Our first step was to map out information in UI through efficient information architecture where flows aligned with user goals; and thus define look and feel for page types, based on formats that the user understood. This led to creating a stage-based dashboard wherein, each stage has its own dashboard allowing users to dive deep and explore data.
- Moreover, the UI included modular lists and popover formats designed to scale for all use cases to further investigate data. Also, this interface is made available to the user in both dark and light mode.
