LivedX is a platform that helps students convert real-life experiences into credentials, allowing them to earn college credits, build personalized profiles, and improve their academic applications. With AI-powered tools, LivedX enables students to easily manage their portfolios and communicate with instructors. The platform streamlines credit earning and resume creation, making the transition from education to career smoother. Our role was to design a user-friendly platform and website that effectively showcases LivedX’s offerings while simplifying the experience for both students and educators.

Objective of Design

Our design for LivedX focused on delivering an intuitive, accessible, and scalable platform for both students and educators, with an emphasis on:

Empowering Students: Simplifying the process for students to submit experiences, earn credits, and build AI-powered resumes and profiles, with a gamified points system to motivate students to actively log and track their achievements.
Simplifying Onboarding: Creating an easy, step-by-step onboarding experience to help students quickly understand and utilize the platform.
Efficient Profile Management: Designing tools for students to efficiently track progress and manage their portfolios.
Seamless Communication: Ensuring straightforward communication between students and instructors for easy feedback and progress tracking.
Leveraging AI: Using AI to personalize and simplify resume creation, profile building, and credit earning processes.
Easy Navigation & Brand Identity: Designing a clean, intuitive interface with consistent brand identity, ensuring students could navigate the platform effortlessly and maintain a cohesive experience across the product and website.

Pain Points

User Challenges:

Students often struggle with presenting their real-world experiences in a way that is valuable for their academic journey and future careers.
The process of tracking and earning credits can be cumbersome and unclear, especially for students looking to align their achievements with college requirements.
Creating professional, impactful resumes and portfolios can be time-consuming, especially for students who may not have prior experience in building these documents.

Business Challenges:

Colleges and universities face challenges in tracking student progress through informal or non-traditional learning experiences.
Professors and administrators often lack effective tools to provide feedback and track student achievements in a way that integrates with traditional academic credit systems.

Discovery

Through research and stakeholder interviews, we gathered insights to design a platform that meets the needs of all stakeholders:

User Research: We interviewed students to understand their challenges with tracking experiences and earning credits.
Gap Analysis: We assessed existing educational tools, identifying pain points like inefficient experience tracking and poor integration with academic systems.
Feature Prioritization: We developed student and educator personas with LivedX, prioritizing features like AI-powered resumes, experience tracking, and portfolio management for ease of use.
Institutional Feedback: We gathered insights from professors and administrators to ensure clear communication and a streamlined progress tracking system.

Outcomes
