An old and heavily used software, Ascent had every HR functionality that a large sized organization might require. With millions of users and tons of features, the application had become verbose and heavy with over 300 screens and deep lying functionality. Design was used to simplify tasks, drastically reduce number of screens, understand user intentions and create new feature, enable faster and more informed decision making, improve user friendliness and look awesome.
An 80-20 Approach allowed us to bring the most important and most used things up-front and a user-centric approach helped us add features that improved salebility.
